From expecting a new sibling to celebrating birthdays, to exploring nature and managing tough emotions, we have found these books to be so helpful in parenting. I began volunteering with ILJC because it is unlike any other organization for which I've volunteered: it is not income-based which means every family has equal access to free books. My love for this organization continues as I see just how happy parents and children are each month when they receive their books--it's a magical thing to get books into these young hands and to see how they grow with the program!
I support DPIL because it’s so important for young children to be exposed to age appropriate books that allow them to bond with loved ones, develop a love for reading and to better prepare them for school.
I choose to volunteer with ILJC to help increase access to books for children in our community. A child’s access to books will help improve literacy, which has positive impacts on personal and community prosperity.
